The O2 Arena is a specialised hemispherical indoor stadium integrated into the larger Millennium Waterfront development on the Greenwich Peninsula. Structurally, the venue is defined by its tensioned PTFE-coated glass fibre roof, suspended from twelve 100-metre-high steel masts representing the months of the year. The internal auditorium has a height of 50 metres from ground to roof and a maximum capacity of 20,000 attendees. It functions as a primary international hub for musical tours and sporting championships, utilising a sophisticated climate-control system and a 360-degree internal concourse to manage high-volume pedestrian flow.
